- Amazon.com ,of
course, is the excellent example of a now growing phenomena
of the virtual bookstore. Others are following, but Amazon
was there first and is the biggest and the most complete.
- Adventure Books is a small press publishing science fiction
in hardback and paperback in six-by-nine inch format. They
publish illustrated books almost exclusively and are known
for exceptional cover and interior images. The Adventure
Books website was named a 'recommended resource' for science
fiction in 2005 by writersdigest.com
- The
Australian Online Bookstore is a great place
to order Australian titles that cannot be had anywhere
here in the states. They also have a personal touch
in the process of ordering that is refreshing.
- B. Brown & Associates is a North Seattle venue that describes themselves as "Specializing in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Supernatural, Mysteries, 1st Editions. Buys, sells, trades primarily uncommon or out-of-print hardback and limited editions. Great store for tracking down hard-to-find books."
- Couth Buzzard Books They describe themselves as follows "For twenty years Couth Buzzard Used Books had one of North Seatte's largest and most extensive Science Fiction collections. - The
Elliot Bay Bookstore is an awesome experience
all by itself, but also happens to be the place where
the Clarion West Readings were held in the last several
years.
- Lady
Jayne's Books is now a virtual store.
Check out there site to see where they will be popping
up next on the convention circuit and also check
out their ebay offerings. This long time perennial
of fannish dealers deserves a definite look see.

Zone Books describes iteself as being
'an online bookstore featuring the lowest book prices,

- MechMuse
Audio Magazine are a new source of stories
and novels by award-winning authors of Science Fiction
and Fantasy in MP3 format.
- Powell's
Bookstore is virtually a legend in the Pacific
Northwest as one of the largest new and used bookstores
in the northwest. Located in the Portland, Oregon,
it is an undeniably must do experience especially if
you make Orycon. Also, for those techies in the audience
they have a Technical Bookstore that is impressive
to say the least.
- The folks at the
Science Fact & Fiction Concatenation describe
themselves as enjoying providing "a broad diet of SF. We
have written a book (Essential SF) that aims to introduce
newcomers to SF or those with a single interest in the
genre to have an introduction too the genre's wider landscape.
One of the reasons for doing this is that the age of those
attending UK SF (book and also film) conventions seems
to be getting older. I do not know if this is also true
in the States, but we thought that a resource (however
imperfect (which it will be if small)) was needed hence
this venture. "

- Studio Foglio is the Online store for Phil and Kaja Foglio, Hugo Award-winning artists of the "Girl Genius" gaslamp fantasy series, Magic: The Gathering cards, and many other products.

University Bookstore Homepage is one of
the best stocked science fiction sections in the region.
Well worth a visit.

Dwarf Books is located in Vancouver,
British Columbia, and has an extensive selection
and friendly staff. At least, so was my impression
from my one visit there.
- Wrigley-Cross
Books is another Portland bookstore with both
new and used books.

- Bookwire's
Science Fiction Bookstore List is quite extensive
and covering a good deal more than just the northwest.
- For
a master list that stretches across the nation you might
want to visit The
Master List of comic book dealers. I will note that the interface is a little non intuitive, but still has a variety of stores in their database reachable by a variety of different search modalities.
